I customize my support using two effective methods based on your family's needs: a gradual reduction of parental presence or a leave-and-check approach. We'll discuss both during your consultation, exploring the processes and pros and cons, ensuring you choose the best fit for your family.

Will there be crying? ↓

Crying may occur with any approach due to how babies communicate. While we make routine changes, our goal is to minimize this, ensuring a noticeable improvement in your child's sleep within a few days. I promise you'll be able to respond and support your child throughout the entire process.

Will I have to remove the dummy or wean night feeds? ↓

We'll discuss this during your consultation, and while I'll offer recommendations, I'll never push you into anything you're uncomfortable with. If your baby relies on a dummy to sleep and wakes frequently, it's something we need to address. Whether breast or bottle-fed, your plan's success remains unaffected. For night feeds, I'll consider your baby's age, current habits, and your preferences, integrating them into the plan with structure to avoid dependency solely on feeds for sleep.

What age is best to start? ↓

Formal sleep training can commence at 18 weeks, allowing your baby to learn self-settling. The approach depends on their age, but once they're 18 weeks, you're ready to start! If your baby is younger, it's too soon for formal sleep training, but you might enjoy my podcast on newborn sleep. Remember, it's never too late to change exhausting sleep habits; I support families with children up to 6 years old.
